Introduction:
After creating a virtual tour of the Basepoint Business Centre in Bournemouth (GHOST_URL/first-virtual-tour-trial/), I have now created a tour showing the fire exit routes and fire fighting equipment along the way.
Benefits:
From trialling this fire safety tour, we have identified numerous benefits. Firstly, it can save time as every new tenant can be provided with the virtual tour when they move in, instead of having to physically be walked around and shown the fire exits and equipment. Furthermore, anybody who uses the building can remind themselves what their safety routes are whenever they wish. Also, the tour can be used in training caretaker staff on the fire exit routes and equipment locations, increasing safety and efficiency in the event of a fire.
Project Content:
Arrow symbols showing the exit directions were used for the link to the next panorama. The arrows were coloured green to match emergency exit signs, and red arrows for the fire fighting equipment to stand out in the tours.
