Introduction:
Our ability to rapidly take 360° panoramas, allowed us to capture photographs for two shops next door to each other in thirty minutes. The virtual environments were completed within 24 hours and on their social media networks advertising the shops to a wide-ranging audience within two days.
CJI Cricket:
CJI Clothing:
Benefits:
• Advertisement – The cricket and clothing shops can now be viewed online by a range of audiences; people who are looking for new equipment, starting a new sport or school or have recently moved to the area.
• Increase in purchases – When moving around the shop, viewers may see a product they had not considered buying, leading to an increase in additional purchases and revenue for the business.
• Stock range – When researching to buy a product, people are now able to see the full range of stock and styles of items available to them, increasing the likeliness of finding a product to purchase at CJI Cricket and CJI Clothing.
Project Content:
When capturing the panoramas, the decision was made to set the tripod up at a lower height in comparison with the other tours. This was to enable the panoramas to open up in eye-line with the products rather than viewing them at an oblique angle.
Embedding the company logo was a new technique used when creating the virtual environment, and this keeps the name of the business in the viewers mind. Furthermore, the logo is a link to the shop’s website. This enables viewers who found the virtual environment on a social media platform to move onto the website when finished looking around the shop.
